Stride

Designing Stride, a digital movement platform created to empower teachers to inspire greater participation in sport among young girls across the UK.

In the UK, girls are still less likely than boys to engage in sport at school age. We worked with a leading education academy to create Stride – a movement and online hub thoughtfully designed to make it easier and simpler for teachers to inspire young girls to positively engage with physical education, building confidence, consistency, and long-term participation in sport.

The Challenge

Across the UK, girls’ participation in sport drops significantly during school years. Confidence, representation, and accessibility all play a role. Schools often want to improve engagement, but teachers are short on time, resources, and research-backed guidance. Stride needed to bridge that gap — turning insight into practical action teachers could implement immediately.

The goal wasn’t simply to create more PE content. It was to remove barriers, simplify planning, and equip educators with tools that genuinely resonate with girls.

The Solution

We helped bring Stride to life as both a movement and a digital hub — a practical platform that supports teachers with ready-to-use, research-informed resources.

The experience was designed to be:

  • Clear and intuitive for busy educators
  • Backed by the latest research in girls’ physical engagement
  • Practical and printable, removing friction from lesson planning
  • Inspiring, with accessible female role models woven throughout

The platform combines downloadable resources, structured lesson ideas, and empowerment-focused content, giving teachers a single destination to support inclusive PE delivery.
